In compliance with national directives and in close coordination with DSWD-CAR, the municipal government of La Trinidad facilitated the first tranche of the Unified Package for Livelihoods, Industry, Food, and Transport (UPLIFT) Assistance Payout to 371 beneficiaries on July 29 at the municipal grounds.

Qualified individuals received ₱2,000 each for the initial rollout, amounting to ₱742,000 in total disbursements and will continue to receive the same monthly stipend until December this year.

The program is intended to support poor and near-poor households identified through the 2024 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) and are not currently receiving regular social protection assistance under the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps).

DSWD-CAR further clarified that the program is not open for application as beneficiaries are strictly identified through the CBMS data.

Mayor Roderick Awingan briefly met with Social Welfare and Development (SWAD) Benguet Team Leader Jireh Lyn Altiyen and Crisis Intervention Section (CIS) Focal Person Anabelle Blanza to ensure a smooth rollout.
