VALLEY SMASHERS DISPLAY PROWESS IN BADMINTON

The Local Youth Development Office (LYDO) has teamed up with the Laruan Badminton Tournament to host a two-day badminton cup aimed at enhancing the skills of local youth from La Trinidad and surrounding towns on November 29 and December 8, 2025.
Undoubtedly, badminton stands out as one of the most cherished sports among young people. It not only builds teamwork and endurance but also sharpens critical thinking abilities.
The LYDO contributed logistical support and manpower resources for this exciting event.
The tournament promises a great experience for participants and spectators. Young athletes will have the opportunity to showcase their talents and test their skills against peers in a friendly competition. This event not only highlights athletic prowess but also strengthens bonds by bringing together families, friends, and sports enthusiasts.
In addition to the matches, the tournament will feature stringing sessions. These sessions aim to provide affordable service fees and supplies to the participants.

Mr. Randal Laruan, the event organizer, expressed his appreciation to the Local Government Unit of La Trinidad, led by Mayor Roderick Awingan, for granting permission to hold this two-day tournament.
“We have many promising young athletes in the municipality, and we take pride in saying that the LT gymnasium is among the best venues for badminton due to its upgraded facilities and convenient access to transportation and business establishments” he added.
