WALK THROUGH FOR BINNADANG BEAUTIFICATION OF BARANGAYS

With the aim of beautifying the municipality, Mayor Roderick Awingan led department heads together with barangay officials of barangays Ambiong, Lubas, and Tawang to a four-kilometer walk through at the Ambiong-Lubas-Tawang Road to identify possible improvements along the road on Sept. 22.
Starting from Barangay Ambiong headed by Barangay Captain Frederick Tao-ing Jr. and his officials, the team together with Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Officer designate Arthur Pedro, and Tourism Officer Valred Olsim, among other personnel of the municipal LGU, identified areas where to conduct cleanup, improvement or repair. The group headed towards Barangay Lubas with its Captain Milagros Familan and kagawads who continued with the MLGU team with the walk through inspection.
Tawang Barangay Captain Julius Tiyap and his officials then met with the group at the Lubas-Tawang boundary to complete the survey. The Barangay and municipal LGU officials then converged for a briefing at Marosan's Tawang for the conduct of a simultaneous launching of the beautification program.
Awingan urged the BLGU officials to plan well for the beautification program in their barangays, as well as include volunteer groups coming from all sectors, who could lend a hand during the binnadang (bayanihan) beautification drive where their respective communities would greatly benefit from.
