Newly crowned World Boxing Council (WBC) Australasia Minimumweight Gold titleholder Renden “Take Over” Oppas paid a visit to the local government unit today, September 21.

The 25-year-old defeated Thai national Jirakrit Jarurattanachai by technical knockout on August 29 in Victoria, Australia.

Oppas also presented the silver belt he won after triumphing over Vietnamese-Australian Kha Lu last April 11 in Melbourne, Australia.

Municipal Administrator Atty. Franco Bawang Jr. congratulated Oppas and his coach, Alan Alegria, for their commitment to excellence and dedication to sports, as well as for continuing to inspire the youth of La Trinidad.

Adding to his achievements, Oppas also passed his licensure examination, earning him another title as a Registered Criminologist.
