The success of an inter-municipal partnership took center stage as officials from La Trinidad, led by Mayor Roderick Awingan, joined the 6th Founding Anniversary of the Pomberera Ornamental Cut Flower Association on February 25, 2026, at Business Park Pomberera in Guagua.

The Mayor accompanied by Councilor Teddy Walang and Councilor Renato โ€œBoyetโ€ Tereng.

The association, established in 2019, is composed of cut flower growers from La Trinidad and residents of Guagua who operate as tenants in the Business Park.

What began as a small market initiative has grown into a steady trading hub for ornamental plants and fresh cut flowers in Pampanga.

In his message, Mayor

Awingan underscored that the thriving flower market in Guagua is a concrete result of the sisterhood agreement between the two local government units.

The partnership, he said, was designed to give Benguet flower farmers direct access to a wider and more sustainable market.

Councilors Walang and Tereng highlighted that the association continues to provide livelihood opportunities while strengthening cooperation between the two municipalities, proving that collaboration can create lasting economic benefits for local cutflower growers.
