As the final step of the program in enhancing local enforcement in the municipality of La Trinidad, the local government officially deputized a total of 185 individuals composed of Barangay Peacekeeping Action Teams (BPATs) and the Public Order and Safety Team (POST) last April 16 at the municipal gymnasium.

Mayor Roderick Awingan alongside Pol. Chief PLTCOL. Zacarias Caloy Dausen administered the oath-taking ceremony as Sangguniang Bayan members, Vice Mayor Guiller Galwan, Councilors Renato Tereng, Teddy Walang, Richard Wacnisen, and Jonie Puroc stood as witnesses.

Moreover, the POST is given authority to carry out their duties within the entire La Trinidad, while the BPATs can exercise enforcement within their respective barangays only.

Prior to this, a series of orientations and training that covered the basics of law enforcement including knowledge on local ordinances, customer relations, and stress management with Gender and Development were conducted in February earlier this year.
