The La Trinidad municipal government unit continues to monitor the Bolo Creek with the heavy rains brought by Tropical Cyclone Inday. The Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office is set to conduct dredging operations on July 11 (Saturday) to clear out the creek, in coordination with the DPWH-Benguet 1st District Engineering Office which committed one dump truck for the activity while the Benguet Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office also pledged one truck from the provincial government to assist in the operation.
We also enjoin the community to help in declogging the Bolo Creek, other creeks and bodies of water by implementing proper waste management in their households and farms.
