The municipal government of La Trinidad underwent a monitoring inspection earlier this afternoon, January 6, 2026, through the Anti-Red Tape Authority-North Luzon Regional Field Office (ARTA-NLRFO) in compliance with the Ease of Doing Business Act.
The process involved the assessment of the Business One-Stop-Shop (BOSS) implementation, the visibility of the Citizens Charter, Public Assistance and Complaints Desk (PACD), and identified offices like the Mayorβs Office and the Social Welfare and Development Office.
The ARTA team, composed of Atty. Darwin Marcos, Antonio Gardose II, Sonny Olas Jr, and Rachelle Joy Dulagan evaluated the Business One-Stop-Shop (BOSS) implementation, the visibility of the Citizenβs Charter, and the Public Assistance and Complaints Desk (PACD) operations.
Key offices, including the Mayorβs Office and the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), were also visited.
During the exit conference, the ARTA team commended the LGU for its centralized PACD, physical office improvements, and "customer delight" initiatives, such as providing coffee and candies for transacting clients.
However, the municipal government was advised to ensure all updated external services and Citizenβs Charters are clearly posted.
The LGU was also reminded to strictly enforce the wearing of employee IDs and the placement of nameplates on all desks to ensure transparency.
Mayor Roderick Awingan and concerned heads pledged not only to comply with the minimum requirements but to maximize all resources in improving public service in the LGU.
ARTA is responsible for monitoring and evaluating the compliance of all covered agencies, including local government units, pursuant to RA No. 11032 or the βEase of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018β.
