La Trinidad is moving forward with the development of a strategic plan prioritizing the local cacao industry. Mayor Roderick Awingan reaffirmed the municipality’s full support for cacao growers and processors during a recent meeting facilitated by Office of the Municipal Agriculture focal person Marilyn Mangeg.

The initiative centers on expanding production capacity and strengthening value-added processing to position La Trinidad as a competitive hub for high-quality cacao. Key priorities include enhancing post-harvest systems, improving product quality, and accelerating market integration.

Through these efforts, the local government aims to help secure sustainable and higher-value income opportunities for the farming community while promoting long-term agricultural growth.
