With the intention to enhance access to programs, the municipal government of La Trinidad officially sealed its partnership today, March 16, with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA)-CAR for the implementation of the β€˜TESDA sa Barangay’.

Mayor Roderick Awingan signed on behalf of the LGU while Acting Regional Director Engr. Glenn Murphy represented TESDA with the Acting Provincial Director of Benguet, Arlene Cadalig and Executive Assistant Atty. Delmar CariΓ±o as witnesses.

In a nutshell, TESDA’s flagship initiative ultimately seeks to bring Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) closer to the grassroots.

  • Free technical-vocational skills training for La Trinidad residents

  • Establishment of an LGU-run training center

  • Allocate funding for the program

  • Ensure employment facilitation activities such as Job Linking and Networking Services
