A total of 685 applicants of all ages flocked to the municipal gymnasium last March 14 for the Jobs Fair in hopes of landing a job with the 19 participating agencies.

Mayor Roderick Awingan, in his message, applauded both partners and attendees for their active participation and continuous support of the event.

He also thanked the Public Employment Services Office (PESO) for spearheading the event.

Offering 3,186 job vacancies, with 1,302 local appointments and 1,884 international assignments, the event served as an avenue to connect aspirants not only to opportunities but also to essential services.

Companies such as Clean Fuel, GallopVision (Converge), North Haven Spa, SM Supermarket and Valley Bread welcomed new employees as 30 candidates were Hired-On-The-Spot (HOTS).

Alongside this, partner institutions, particularly DOLE, DMW, the Philippine Army, TESDA-Benguet, PNP, BFP, DTI-Baguio Benguet, SSS, PSA, PRC, and PhilHealth-Benguet, provided several services such as ID renewals and Information, Education and Communication Campaigns as part of the Government One-Stop-Shop.
