LT SWM-TWG Visits Holcim, Bacnotan

In a bid to strengthen the municipality’s waste management system, the Solid Waste Management Technical Working Group of La Trinidad visited the Holcim Cement Plant in Bacnotan, La Union.
During the visit, Ms. Rossen Banawa of Geocycle Holcim Philippines Inc. oriented the delegates on how shredded residual waste is used as fuel (coprocessing) in cement production. The visit aimed to explore alternative waste management options that can help reduce waste sent to landfills.
